Default Raptor 350

My friend that lives with me went and picked up a brand new Raptor 350 yesterday. The bike runs great, and I think it is awesome, but I just have a few questions. Is the bike supposed to get very very hot on the engine. While riding, I can feel the heat rolling off of the motor, and exhaust. The exhaust is very hot, but im sure thats is normal, but I also noticed below the exhaust, where I think maybe the clutch or something is, it is also VERY hot. If you spray a wate rhose or anything on it, it sizzles.

? # 2 - Is the fourwheeler suppsed to go into neutral very easily. I have a problem with when I am taking off fast, that it goes into neutral. It only does this sometimes. I thought maybe I just wasn't pressing it up hard enough, but I am pressing it up pretty hard. When sitting still, I have noticed sometimes that it is very hard to shift those 2 gears. Maybe I'm just worrying too much, but it is kind of a nuiscance when u try to take off quick and hit neutral on accident. Also, it had popped out of gear a time or two. Once, when i was climbing a hill, and I think my friend said it did it to him too. I was just wondering if you can adjust these clutches, lube them to work smoother, or what.

Sorry I wrote so much. P.S- does anyone know how the Raptor 350 would do in a drag race against a 300 ex. JW Thanks

the hott is normal remember its air cooled soo the slower it goes the hotter and then more you beat on it the hotter it will get, thats why there fins on the head to keep it from getting to hot. If it starts to run funny it oculd be over heating but you will know it.

and for 2 its the same motor and trans as my old warrior and es thatsa normal with 2nd jsut yank hard when taking off fast
and 300ex no problem for it my warrior had a 300 by a bit the better carb no problem

First NEVER squirt a hot motor with a hose it will
crack the jug or something internal.
secound when a motor is new
you have to break it in because everything is so tightly fit.
This may be why its getting so hot. Take it easy dont
ride it wide open for long periods.Wait until you have atleast
a full tank of gas through it.
As far as tranny, I dunno. maybe check oil level.
Hope this helps.
