Yammi spent all their time working on the motoX. Did you check out the YZ's?? Over 10 pounds lighter from last year, all new aluminum frame, swingarm, new linkage, renthals, and a bunch more...This is like a totally different bike. And also the 450F is like a new bike as well, they changed everything from the frame to carburation, the air box, and new 48mm forks....

I gotta say Yamaha, I was dissapointed in the changes to this years ATV's but you really came through on the motoX.

they will not be banned from riding in most places, just all companies cant make any more new 2 strokes, so the only 2 strokes will be bought used.

yamaha would spend more time on the quads if they needed to, but they did not really have to. Also we all know the dirt bike world is bigger than quadding, but thats only as of now

Because all this talk about no more 2-strokes, is only talk..Nothing has come into effect yet, it's all just speculation. No one will really know until it happens.

2006 is when the new EPA law comes into effect. Yamaha, Honda, etc will still manufacture & sell 2-strokes to whoever wants one but they will be sold as "closed coarse only" meaning you will not be able to get them registered for off-road at all. The DMV will probably still charge you some b.s. fee & give a closed coarse sticker to put on the bike, so they will be registered- as closed coarse. Tracks and private land are just that, private property so you can ride whatever you want on them, registered or not. Now if you take your bike to Glamis or the desert or any other "public" off-road area, you will be in violation of the new law. Thank you, EPA. Just what we needed...;(

I too heard it was 2006 when the ban hits, but I was not aware that they could still sell 2jokes as closed circuit only. Does this mean though that all 2strokes will be registered as closed circuit only when their registration expires?
