does anyone know if anything can be done with stock fronts
im running mx and they just dont hold up
cant afford the new elkas or a-arms yet so ill have to make due for now
ive got them on the stiffest setting and im still bottoming out alot!!
maybe a rubber in springs like cars run? this might make it to stiff
ahyhow the ankles cant take much more!!

I understand your on a budget but i run these, and they are awesome. http://ctracing.com/suspensi.htm.
i am very happy with them, but their not that much cheaper than Elkas, why don you buy some Works triple rate shocks they are cheap, and a lot of people buy them.

There is really no way you can safely modify your stock front shocks. Mine were the same way and I just lived with it.. You could pick up a set of dual rate works off of ebay for around $300 I think, and they are still made to your weight and riding style.

You could try stock shocks that someone took off of a Yamaha YFZ 450, they have resivors and are prolly a bit stronger. When you adjust the spring that only effects the initial reaction of the spring and not when it will bottom out. So maybe try making them expanded all the way and race like that once. Or maybe you could slice the stopper rubber in half to gain half an inch. I am getting a stiffer spring for the back of my raptor and i'll be stuck in your position soon with the fronts.
