just got a quick question regarding hot cams, I have a 04 raptor and was wondering if there is any gains if i only install the hot cams. not sure what one but just been thinking about it. is there anything else you gotta do for the hot cams to work. would i get any hp gains with just adding the hot cams, i already have k7n and full exhaust.

if you only runa stage one you will see good gains, and it will work with every thing you already have. if you go with a stage two you will need to get velvesprings, higher comp piston, race gas, better exhaust flow, better fuel flow, and port and polish the head. but a stage two and all the mods will make it run really good. but just depends on how much you want to spend....good luck

 

You can install a stage two cam with nothing else but valve springs if you so desire. You will get much better power increases when combined with those things but only the new springs are necessary. If you plan to upgrade other components in the future and you have the extra money for the new valve springs, get the stage 2 hc or a webcam.
