the same thing happen to my friend, exept it wasnt a banshee it was a atc 125 i was driving through were we cut alot of brush, and some how the brush came up from under the foot pegs, caught his left foot and drug him under, he didnt get hurt real bad just some burns and scrapes....
Sorry to here about that guy at the drag......

*Update*


Following his surgery he was told he was very lucky that there was no damage to his pelvis. The doctor's told him it could have split his pelvis or pulled his legs out of the sockets and caused damage, but it didn't.

They also let him know that his fractured leg, will heal and he will be able to put weight on it in 10-12 weeks. But his broken leg would take alot of rehab, and over 6 months to heal. Said he's looking at 6-8 months as a good time frame.

 

Hope he gets better soon... and yes heel guards and nerfs are a must..NO excuses. My brothers rappy got my left leg a year ago. 1 torn mcl in my knee, a hip pulled out of socket that the paramedics had to put back in the ambulance and 6 months of no riding convinced me i can not go without them!
