Default raptor 660 questions

is it normal for a new 660 raptor to have the rear skid plate rub the chain slightly. The bike is brand new 04. Im in the process of braking it in. The skid plate is plastic. I don't know if that is normal???????please help
also will the fram oil filter that fits on the 660 grizly fit a 04 raptor??????I noticed they sell them at Wal-Mart now.???????
Also just put the first tank of gas through my raptor at St. Joe????????wow at first the bike was stiff and you could tell it was brand new. After two hours of riding the bikes shocks have smoothed out and the shifting is smoother. You can tell the motor is running smoother also. The rider is also getting more used to how it performs as well........This is the best bike I ever owned . I did a little jumping on it today. I was clearing double jumps on it and could not believe the suspension. There is a considerable difference between the warrior I previously owned and the raptor. Night and day???????I can now ride within my abilites and still have room to learn more how to handle this bike even more.
How is the rear plastic skid on the trails????at St.Joe does anyone know. I stayed in the flats today due to braking in the motor. This bike you can have rider error when jumping and still pull them off due to the great suspension. If someone wants to talk about having to be perfect at jumps,,,,,,try riding a warrior for a little while. That bike you can't mess up on jumping or you will wreck. It seems like the raptor you just lean back and throttle it and the nose comes up like clock work. It don't wear you out like a warrior does.????
Im truly happy with this bike. Im 6'1 295, this bike fits me perfect. I would not have been happy with a yfz.

i dont think k/n oil filters are worth the money.. if u wanna have a good clean filter that u can use alot. check out the scotts performance oil filter its reusable and better then the leading paper filter..

Get rid of that worthless plastic rear swing arm skid plate, that is unless you like replacing a $100+ dollar rear rotor. Get a rear swing arm skid plate that is .250 inch thick aluminum, they last way longer than the .190 thick. Armadillo makes a very nice fitting one and I have beat the he11 out of it on the rocks in the Arizona desert for several years now with no problems.
