ok i got a wolverine and fixin to put 25 inch tsl super swampers on it.
if i buy some rims that will take off like 20 pounds will their be that big of a differnece cause i can let someone ride with me thats like 140 pounds and theirs hardly no differnece?
but since the rims and wheeles are on the axles will it make a good difference?
or would it be like a 140 person went and lost 20 pounds so he is lighter so it goes alittle better that kinda differnce

Bigger taller tires will hurt your low end grunt. Your power is still going to the wheels its just how your tires ALLOW the power to be used. If you have some big 25" extra wide tires you are NOT gonna have the acceleration that you had before. Thats why when most people go to these bigger wheels they go with a pipe, filter, jetting, high compression pistons, and other engine mods so they dont "feel" the power loss on the bottom end so much.

There is a big difference between 20 pounds on the wheels and 20 pounds on the seat. The wheels, swingarms, breaks, etc are what is called unsprung weight. Meaning that this weight is not supported by the suspension. The less unsprung weight the better because it allows your suspension to react more quickly to the terrain. It's up to you whether it's worth it to you to spend $200 on new wheels.
