Default RAPTOR 660R HELP!

as long as you know how to change the oil and adjust the parking prake, you should be fine.

I think the biggest issue is messing with jet kits and trying to achieve the best setup...but that is easy...just takes time and more time to dial it in

I am very happy with mine and it is a blast to ride on the trails at kisatchie and on Ft. Polk

Default RAPTOR 660R HELP!

Did they fix the oneway prob on the starter, yet? Or is yammy still putting the crappy ones in and charging out the a$$ for the beefier ones? That's the only prob I've seen consistantly wrong with the rappy.

Default RAPTOR 660R HELP!

Like Voodoothenoob said theirs not much to maintaining a raptor the problem starts when people start to mod them the jetting is a pain because you have to remove the carbs completely and it is a dual carb.
The only issue that I have had is the axle bearings, and that was easy except the axle nut was a pain. But other then that the bike is a sound machine.

I have heard of the one-way bearings being a problem but I haven't had that problem yet. Maybe if I rode it instead of my wife, it would have more problems. Cuz I beat on any bike I ride. Not intentionally it just happens that way. I guess it is just an excuse to buy more stuff for my bike.

Here's a free tip. Put the raptor in neutral before you hit the starter and your one way will last years longer.
