Default Jetting sugestion

Right now with yoshi full exhaust and a pro-flow kit with no lid I have 170/175 mains. It pulls ok in first and second when it doensn't have much of a load on it. When I ran it out in 5th it didn't pull real hard. checked the plug and it was as white as when I put it in.

Why is it taking so much fuel?

What jets should I try next?

Thanks for the help.

Default Jetting sugestion?

I know it's lean but I don't understand why I'm still lean with that big of jets in it. From what I've read on here most are useing 160/165 or 165/170 mains. I'm still lean with 170/175's.

Has anyone here used or seen anyone useing 175/180 or 180/185 mains with no internal work?

Also what should my next step be. I don't have a-lot of time to mess with it and would like to hit it the next time out.

Thanks again

Default Jetting sugestion?

When I first installed the dyno jets pur there instructions my plug was reading lean. Then I jumped up to the bigeest jets in kit.The plug was still reading lean.I then ordered bigger mains put them in till it read rich then went back down.My raptor ran strong in all gears with all the jets.Iwas just scarred to run it to lean.I called dyno jet and they told me the directions were right and that there is so much additives and detergents in gas that it is hard to do a plug reading these days.Jetting is never quick.I would try bigger mains until your plug is a cardboard color brown. If you do a search on jetting there is one that takes you to a sight with step by step with some good advice.

I was in the same boat. ran 170-175 at sea level and it didnt pull hard on top. pulled the plug ,it was lean. put a friends air box lid on and gained 2 quad lengths. changed jets to 189-185 and it pulled alot harder and gained another bike lenght. i havent done a plug reading yet but ill let you know when i do. please let me know if you find anything out.
