Default Time for a new chain..Any suggestions?

Just got back from a nice ride...or should I say a nice tow. Five 20 mins into a nice ride with some friends my chain snaps...right down the center of a link. I ended up having to be towed home by a kawasaki (ashamed..I know.) Anyways, I guess it's time for a new chain. Anyone have any suggestions for a good one? Any pro's or con's about different brands?

Thanks
Shavo

I've had a D.I.D o ring on my blaster for 6 months now with new sprockets and it's worn very little, and neither have the sprockets. i take care of things though
primary drive works well to for a good recreational chain

Thanks for the info.
Btw, how do you like the 14 tooth on the blaster? Do you find it takes away alot of the bottom end? Im thinking about installing it with my 240.

I've had a did chain on for about a year with problems. With a modified motor a 14 tooth front sprocket will help keep the power more "useable" in the lower rpm's.

I just got rid of my blaster but i actually had a 15 tooth on with the modds in my sig(hadn't updated it) and it accelerated harder than the 14. There's a point where your motor makes to much power for too little gearing, and when you gear it up it will pull even harder. But if you go past that gearing benchmark, your accel will not be as strong. If your blaster just eats through the gears with no prob then more than likely, yes you can get some more pull from giving it larger gearing.

Stock is 13 right? SO you think I should go up 2 in the front? I don't want to give up too much bottom end..how fast was your blaster with the 15?

what size tires do you have? if you have 18's then get a 15 tooth , b/c that was my gearing and the bike still wasn't that fast. maybe slightly faster than a stocker but it accelerated like madd. If you have 20's then get a 14 tooth. just order a cheap 14 tooth from rockymountain for about 7 bucks and see how u like it. It's only seven dollars for a cheapy so just try it.
