Default are my gears slipping on my raptor?

i never powershift my wheelies ever. i always use my clutch. twice now, over the past week, and the bike isnt that old, its an 04, when i shift from 4th to 5th, and i let out the clutch, it acts like its in neutral then shoots into gear. what does this sound like? its only happened twice, and not when i just riding, only during wheelies.

If it only does it in a wheelie. Either your not getting it all the way in and getting stuck in between, which I have done. Or something is binding up when your up. But that is wierd it don't do it under normal riding.

I have the same problem on my shee when I'm dragging, 3rd to 4th usually. Happens pretty rarely, only about 6 times since I got it. It gets stuck in between and theres a really nice grinding sound. I think I'm shifting too fast, I still clutch and everything, but maybe its just not getting enough time to fully disengage before I let it back out.

101 - I believe the raptors with tranny problems were '01. Thats totally different though, this is just getting in between gears for a second. Its not a good thing, but the '01s had a much more serious problem.

Olds - You taken that beast to the limit yet? Got any vids?

be sure your clutch lever is adjusted properly,,,allowing the clutch to release all the way

I have played around with the clutch adjustment before, so I know what you think might be happening. He!!, when I got it, they had it adjusted so bad that it wouldnt even start to engage until the last few mm of travel in the lever. I have it set pretty reasonably now though, theres only a few mm of free travel before it starts to engage. I think I just need to shift a little slower, I'll still win the drag, so whats the difference, lol.
