Default ??? RAPTOR timing ???

ok i just recently snapped a cam chain, got it repared, timing marks are right one.
took it out for the test run today and it didnt seem to have the torque it did i miean it real close too but...
its also 110 degrees and real humid too tho, i think that might be it

i was wondewring if it was one tooth advanded or retarded what would it do ? would it run? would it start hard?
because now (i think i might have starter probs) its like the starter dont have enough juice to turn the motor over.

thanks.

if you are one tooth retarted it will act just like you are describing, if it was a tooth advanced it would run better but might not start very well. one tooth is quite alot. I would re check all the timing again, stick a pipe cleaner down the sparkplug hole to make sure the piston is at excatly top dead center, you can watch the pipe cleaner move up and down with the piston. just be very careful you dont turn the engine far enough to let it fall inside the combustion chamber or you get to check the timing the long way!!

if it was one tooth retarded would that put strain on the starter? it acts like it dont have enuff juice to turn the motor but that might just be the starter

yup the same
the battery has 13 volts it got better when i charged it. it starts up now just struggles.
it has to be in the starter i think when the cam chain broke sumthin musta happend when the motor came to rest but i dont know someone said it could be the clutch in the starter but i dunno what ya think?

might be a combo of both timing and starter or one way bearing. this may sound stupid but did you adjust you cam chain tensioner after you did everything?

last try would be to take the starter apart and clean the brushes and armatures real good with B-12 chemtool, then clean out the housing as well. might make it alittle better. good luck and keep us posted
