raptor cam timing

Default raptor cam timing

Im currently in the process of building a 686 for my rappy , the guy doing my porting reccomends that i get the cam degreed? , i told him that the cam timing is fixed but he said he can elonggate the sprocket holes and get the timing perfect. Anyone heard of this before ??

if you have the know how and a dial indicator, then yes it is a very good thing, probally not real easy on a raptor but I would say doable!

Default raptor cam timing

Yes I did it also but depending on what cam you go with your better of just timing it to spec. The adjusting of cam timing is best done on a dyno so you can get the best possible gain for every degree moved.
