Here is a chance for ATV'ers to look good and feel good(donate ATV)

As some are aware Bob Craycraft was injured while riding at kermit and the EMS out there has no way to retrive a injured person if they can not ride out or a dune buggy is in the area. While we were waiting on the careflight to arrive we were talking to the emergency personnel and that is what this is about. They (kermit EMS) has looked into buying and out fitting a polaris 6x6 quad to go in and transport out hurt riders. All rigged up and ready to go they have been quoted 11,000. I am not trying to raise 11,000.00 just enough to buy the polaris 6x6. I have been talking to a few dealers on that aspect. In the next few weeks i am going to try to come up with the funds to purchase this polaris 6x6 for kermit. If this proves to be a worthy cause i would be in favor of doing something for other riding areas or atv related items. All money raised will go to the project. NO ONE is going to be paid for any work done, gas money etc. This will be posted at other internet sites, dealerships and local events. A paypal account has been set up. All you have to do is go to pay pal and send money to DONATEATV@msn.com. It does not matter how big or how small your donation is. Every dollar is one less to raise. I have not figured out a way to thank those that participate in this. If and when there is enough money to buy the quad it will be done (i will collect enough one way or another) The goal for this is Thanksgiving weekend.
I am working with a few polaris dealers on the 6x6. I am trying to get polaris involved also. Hopefully they can help out a worthy cause. At this point i am thinking the actual cost is going to be around 6800.00
Please feel free to offer your thoughts and suggestions on this. I am open to all ideas to achieve this goal. I am going to clean my garage out and sell my old ATV parts on Ebay and donate the money to this. If you want to send me your used atv parts i will sell them on ebay and do the same.
Thanks,
Mark Siegmund

you would b able to get a ranger for around the same price and they are quite a bit larger than the rhino....

YamahaRaider- That is a great idea. I do have a great yamaha contact. The final decision will rest with the kermit EMS though. I will difentiatly look into the rhino as i have not really thought about that.
Anyhelp is appreciated.

I wish you the best of luck 14mins and I also hope that the EMS decides to go with YAMAHA!! The rhino should be quite cheaper than a $11,000 polaris ranger. RHINOS ROCK!!!
If the EMS team gets crazy they can even outfit their rhino with Boondockers Nitrous.
I saw a rhino rigged with Boondockers at the Highlifter Mud Nationals and it was sweeeet!!

Great Idea 14Min . HAve they thought Of pulling a Off road trailer . I have seen one set up for medical transport The suspension can be built on the trailer that give a much more suitable ride for injured patients .
In fact one of this websites sponsor builds rescue trailers " Nichols trailers " rescue trailer pictures .
increased capacity for hauling all the EMT / Paramed equipment . maybe print out the pics and give them a few more Ideas .
I'm headed to donate as you read this .
P.S. On your heading for this thread you need to add the words Keep this thread alive

Ranger 6x6 retail--$9,999
Yamaha Rhino retail--$8,889
(GREEN)
They will save $1100 off of msrp just by going with the rhino.
The rhino will tow almost as much as a ranger 6x6.
Rhino--1,212 lbs.
Ranger--1,500 lbs.
Compare for yourselves, the rhino will go faster too. Best of luck to you 14mins I will try to find something to donate.
