what are some things i should keep in mind for maintaining a banshee. I already know to grease bushing bearings any moving parts every several weeks, but what about coolant and other fluids. Also what premix do most of you guys run and with what oil

 

The stock swingarm on the Banshee makes the chain a real pain in the butt to ajust..... And as for oil, I run ( Klotz R-50 two-stroke Techniplate racing synthetic oil ) at 32 to 1 pre-mix....

 

thanks alot i was thinking about using the klotz but i have heard some bad things about it, what has your experience been and are there any other suggestions out there. Also what about the other fluids. Thanks

 

I had a 99 Banshee that I just sold..... I ran klotz in it from day one with no problems..... Klotz R-50 film strength is comparable to caster oil with the clean burning characteristics of a synthetic oil...

 

always turn the gass off when your done riding it will prolong the life of the carbs

 

Especially in the winter. Let it warm up properly!!! Dont just jump on and go. I run 50/50 93 and Torco Mach 110 and 32:1 Castor 927. SMELLS GOOOOOD!!!!

 

will 93 octane be alright for it, it only has pipes on it. How often should i change the gear case fluid and the antifreeze. Thanks

 

Yes 91 and over is good on stock compression. I change every 3 good rides. 1.5 quarts, no filter, one bolt (really easy)

 

Antifreeze can be changed when ever. Maybe once a year.

 

thanks a lot.. are there any other fluids I should be aware of that need to be changed. Or anything else that i should check every so often
