They will go through a good amount of mud and you will definately cover anyone whos behind you.
The banshee is a great machine, and so is the raptor. Kind of meant for different things. But its hard to get hardcore 2 strokers to acknowledge that anything is better than what they have.
I thought the a arm change was in 88/89 too.

Heres a funny note: Yamaha has a pic of the 87 banshee, but its got a arms. Now I know thats not correct, but apparently they didnt care or didnt want anyone to remember the j arms.

If the banshee was worth a damn on a flattrack/ice course, I'd have one. The bitter truth is, they dont handle well enough despite the power advantages. The zilla is better for these types of events. The 250R still makes a great showing. The new yfz's are making a very respectable showing with minimal modifications. My cousin has a lot less into his 01 shee than I have into my 03 raptor, and he can usually keep up pretty well with me. He's never beaten me, but its close on the drag strip. I love banshees and even more so the old trx250r. But I dont have to come on here and bash every other type of quad because its now what I own.
