Default Raptor Starter Question

Hey guys, a couple days ago i got a 2001 raptor. The gears have already been upgraded on this bike, overall the bike is in very nice condition. However, when i go to start it, it takes a couple seconds to fire up. I have a 2002 raptor and it fires right up, this 2001 is for my girlfriend and i want to make sure all is well with it. The gears are 03 raptor gears from yamaha, its got new race clutches in it, etc etc. When it starts, it just makes a few turning noises, no serious clanking that i noticed, but just concerned. What do you think, thanks for your help!
