trading, I don't think you'd have any problems...

Depending on your size, the yfz is just a helluva lot easier to toss around when you're ripping up a trail or what not. If you're 240+ I probably wouldn't suggest it over your setup.

riding a yfz = a lot of hard fast riding, standing up most of the time. It's a great workout. Instantanious power bursts that'll try to rip yer arms otta their sockets when standing up...

It's not the best for most people... but the people that do own them are pretty much a special breed anyways... (i've never seen a slow or lazy yfz owner that just likes to putt around on it.)

Overall, I think it's best for every1 to tell their riding styles, and if they fit the way you like to ride... then it's probably the quad for you.

Im just frickin tried of all my motor work...and the problems since my oil incident. ITS A FREAKIN 04 for god sakes... i mean i know i did this all to it and stuff but now i need a new battery, and it just seems like its one after another, and the list never ends before i get this thing back to running smoothly again. I think i can get the battery for around 40 bux...when i went to my dealership they quoted me 151.99 for it????//// GO FIGURE! LOL

I must say i did laugh at all of your responces....the gurl occupys plenty of my time...the car is just a ride and im getting tired of it, idealy i need to get a truck, and u have to be ultra careful when driving it because of how low it sits (2" off the ground)

Im selling the Z400 to my Brother in law....for 4000. Basically the raptor is my toy right now and between work, and the gurl im trying to find time to fix it and plan a vacation at the same time and all this is just drivin me nutz lol

good luck with the choice buddy. may be a good idea to marry that girl before someone else on here does.

Ask if you can ride a yfz, or find somone willing to let you ride theirs for a few minutes. It may make the decision easier, Its worth a shot.

Well actually i have made my mind up....i just ordered a brand new motor from yamaha through one of my buddys that works at my Norwalk dealership...not the place that screwed me. I got it for 700.00...i will be stock with mad bolt ons for a while but ohh well.

Mean time i am going to send my motor out to SandTech Racing to be built...
I would miss my raptor wayyyy to much if i were to get rid of it, and i do all hare scrambles and stuff like that so ideally the YFZ would not suit me!

yeah i know what you mean dude, im kinda in the same boat, girlfriend, work, quad, sled, planning stuff. it does get overwhelming but the work on machiones is neverending. well it can be ending if you get rid of it or just let it turn to junk. BUT, if your like alot of people and judging by your pictures you are, you take good care of your things. its always something, even if its something as light as cleaning the air filter, or it can be bad like a clutch or chain. but as long as its got a motor its gonna need mainanance and the occasional part or two. yea it gets upsetting, i dont know how many times ive wanted to get rid of my sled and just be doen with it, but i would be buried if i tried to sell it right now. it is one of those things you just have to take a deep breath and count to ten...lol i would keep it and just stay on top of it. good luck with it man
