I like mine. I got a clutch kit, hmf exhaust, k&N, jet kit, Lift kit, and 26 inch mud lites. I am starting to pound it hard now cause i want to bbk it. Had it in real deep water and it never sputtered.

If you want a honda get a rancher. If you want an indestuctable atv that will go anywhere (niosily) that u can fix in the middle of nowhere get the BRUIN.
For those who remember the old yamaha 250 dirtbikes, this is the ATV verion of the same. Mine reminds me of the terminator rising up from the blazing gasoline fire. Unstoppable. Very responsive. Mabe somewhat crude compared to the honda but made to go where others whince.

it's only going about 80 km/hr right now. ever since i drowned it on day i seemed like it lost some juice. The clutch kit also robbed me about 5-6km/hr so if i took that back out i think it may hit somewhere around 86km/hr. the hmf pipe with the jet kit add noticeable gains and the clutch kit gave it more bottom end grunt. It depends on how you ride it.

I have a 2004 Bruin 4x4. I absolutely love it. I have 700+ miles on it and have had 0 problems. It is a great atv. I can beat the thing up all day long and it keep ticking. The only downside is the stock tires they STINK. I would highly reccoment to do what I did and buy 25" Mud Lite XL tires and put on it. I have a picture of my front tire in my pictures page. THey are great tires, and I can now go placed in 2wd without spinning, that before I could go but only in 4wd and spinning the tires the whole way. I you want the best bang for your buck I would definitely go with the Bruin it is a great ATV!

I want to put 26 " mudlites 26x12 rear and 26x10 front on wifes bruin. Any advice or downside to the 26" choice. The lack of a granny gear stinks but otherwise the bruin is
tougher than my Rubicon. NE1 heard of a mod to help the gearing? Also I want to use the Rubicon stock wheels on the Bruin but the calipers rub in the front. Any ideas
on this. I think I could fix this with a few washers but the Honda shop (known liars) says it WILL cause trouble. Common sense says washers with maybe longer studs and re- tourque frequently until the lugs stabilize should work fine. Comments would be appreciated.

I have 25" Mud Lite XL's on my Bruin. Since they are stock size I have no power loss. But since they are the XL model they have the deep lugs like the larger sizes. I have a picture of my front tire in my pictures page. I would recomend these for the Bruin. They make a WORLD of a difference!!

Sunk where all that was visible was the riders head. No ill effects. Rolled ... No damage at all. Brake adjust, Clutch drain, Oil change after flooding, (3 times) hell i wouldn,t be scared to adjust the valves in the woods. This machine is really that tough. Just no granny but a damn respectable 4wheeler. I don't worry about it coming out of the hollows.

Agreed, my expirience with the Bruin has been flawless. Not bashing Brute Force's at all, they are a nice machine. But We were on an ATV run and there is this hole called pappy's. I have pics in my pictures page. My friend said he would go in if I did, and I said I would if he did. SO he mad his run and I made mine. The Bruin did not make it all the way through but did make it farther than the Brute. We all got winched out and again it was Ill go if you go. So it was my turn to go first and I got some speed up and went in. I made it clear to the end minus the last 3 feet. I completelly ran out of ground clearence and was just spinning the tires. SO I get winched out and turn around to see him heading in and his machine just died. Completely shut off and wouldnt start for anything. HE had to spray ether in it to get it started, and once he got home all fluids were changed along with the plugs, air filter, and he got his carb cleaned. The little Bruin made it 3 times as far as his Brute did and mine didnt sputter once going through the hole. Again not bashing the brute at all because it is a great machine. I am just trying to prove that the little Bruin is a Very reliable machine. I can beat it up all day and it will keep going.
