i was riding with my friends dad yesterday and he told me that his bike is old and if he runs it rich it wont run so hes leaned it out to the point where he is running 150:1 is that possible. he is riding a 1989 yz 125

50:1 sounds more reasonable. Did you misunderstand him? 150:1 would be a pointless ratio. It would be no different then running straight gas. I bet my car burns more oil than that. Ask again, I would almost put money down that your friend's dad said, or meant, 50:1. That is a lean mixture in my book. I usually run 40:1 in my 89 CR 500, and that is as lean as I am willing to go.

So lets say the gas tank holds 8 L...
150:1 L
75: 500ml
37.5 : 250ml
18.75 : 125ml
9.37 : 62.5ml
4.68 : 31.25ml
