this is my first fourwheeler painting

If anyone can help me, it would be great. i am triing to paint my footpegs, handle bars, bumper, and A- Arms all the same silver spray paint. i think i got my self knee deep in shi*. it seems that i cant get my a arms disconnected from the pivot point. what should i do. i thought maybe tape up what i cant get off, but then i thought i won't beable to clean up the grease points properlly. do i need a special tool. and is it worth it to get the rust off them. i am also getting my exaust painted. i thought maybe i should get a heat resistant paint and sand and clean. is that the best way. also what color would look good on a flat silver. shink Black???
