Default Amsoil for banshee?

Hey guys i was reading up on this amsoil a little bit and it seems a lot of folks like it. I was wondering what your opinion is on it for the banshee. I noticed a lot of people are running this anywhere from 32:1 to 80:1, but most say run it 50:1. Im skeptical of this because it seems so lean at 50:1 but would like to hear some opinions. How much is this oil per gallon?

going from 32:1 to 50:1 will richen out your jetting not lean it. More gas and less oil to air.

Hey deathmetal, I have a friend that runs the Saber 2-stroke oil at 70:1 and loves the stuff, no more fouled plugs and significantly improved performance. I would recommend using the new Interceptor oil or if you're really running hard the Dominator series oils, just pre mix these oils at 50:1. But the Saber 100:1 2 stroke oil is a great option if you don't want to spend a lot of money and still use a quality synthetic. I started using the Interceptor oil this year in my wife's Polaris Trailblazer and noticed a difference in the acceleration, super clean spark plug, and a great smell from the ester base stock synthetic they use. If you want more information and a free product catalog go to:

Hey Gary

I dont mind the extra price for the amsoil in comparison to the yamalube 2-s, but the thing im concerned about is running things 50:1 and over. I was always told never go to past 40:1 unless you want trouble. It's gonna be a pain to find amsoil around here, but im definetely going to check into it.

Amsoil 2000 is specifically designed to be ran at 50:1, any richer then that and it will mask the spark to much and have a negative affect on your bikes performance. I have been running Amsoil 2000 in my race Blasters for years now at 50:1 with no problems what so ever. And my Blasters have full blown race motors that are ported to the gills and running on very high compression like 185psi and my new motor is going to be running 200psi.

And Blasters are air cooled which means that if I havent had any problems at that mixing ratio on a high performance air cooled motor, then you definitely shouldnt have any problems running at 50:1 on a liquid cooled Banshee. Also, I know people that have raced in 24hour desert races using Amsoil 2000 at 50:1, and when finished pulled their top ends apart only to find that everything was as it should be.

A friend in the quads,
Jose

Hey deathmetal, why don't you go to the website and sign up as a preferred customer, that way you can get the oil at dealer cost, 6 months membership is only $10 that way you can stock up on all your oils (car, truck, atv, chainsaws, lawn equipment, etc.) Shipping is pretty fast and the cost is reasonable compared to most. Check it out:
