Why does Yamaha have to mooch the success of the Raptor 660 so much. The Raptor 80 is understanable and a good idea but getting rid of a cool name like "Warrior" just to replace it with such an unoriginal new tag is horrible. The design change could have made it unique instead of a little brother

 

I agree, a few years ago when they updated the blaster they kept the name. I have no idea what they are trying to pull off by calling it a raptor. If they ever reuse the Banshee name when 2 strokes are no longer manufactored and call a 4 stroke a banshee I will be sick.

 

I have to say there are a few changes to the new "warrior" I just got one and trying to do some stuff has the dealer up in arms. All they have to go by are warrior books, because they have not got a new raptor book yet. So far all the wiring is different. Not sure what else because im a new quad rider.

 

dude ^^ there practically identicle in almsot every single way.. hell go to yamaahas site and compare the 04 raptor 350 with the 04 warrior!!

Then something is wrong with mine, because they used the "warrior" book to put in a couple of tether switches and fried the wiring on one of my bikes. Of course, like I said I dont know much about the warrior and new raptor, just what Im seeing.
