hi im 13 and i just got a yamaha 2004 bruin 2 weeks ago yesterday i was riding along and i went to get on it and it wouldnt go past half throttle it would spit sputter and backfire so i let it sitfor about an half hour and it ran fine the rest of the day. so today i was taking a ride over to my dadsabout 3 miles and about a half a mile from his hoouse it started doing it again please help

You sure its not on choke? Also, on a typical yamaha they run liek crap if the parking break isnt completely disengaged.

thanks jakal i will go out tommorrow its not the choke but it culd be the parking brake

Yeup... check the parking break. When mine was still on it would get just a piece of dust on it and not disengauge all the way. I would say that is your problem since its not doing it all the time.

Next time it does it just reach up with your thumb and push out on it and I bet it will straighten right up!
