oneway o-ring patch
#1
just did the O-ring patch on my 686, the bearings looked good, and the gear surface wasnt to bad. It starts with no problems so far, I hope it will last long enough for me to get the L&A oneway bearing. It was an easy fix and didnt cost me jack, well I did replace the case cover gasket, but I needed to do that anyway cause I didnt do it last time I took the cover off to put in the degree key. Anyway I'll keep you posted on how long the O-ring lasts!!

yes, I had the degree key before the 686 upgrade. I loved it, the degree key mad a big difference on the stock motor, it reved faster, and gained all around power, but slighlty more on the bottom end. keep in mind I am at 5000 feet so it is more noticeable at this altitude, I would say it was a must for high altitude riders, we need ours to be more advanced to compensate for no air!! I couldnt really comment on it with the after market cam, cause it's been in there since day one so I have no comparison. And I'll send you pics soon as I get home, you got first dibs on the cam so I wont do anything untill you decide yes or no, so dont worry.

When I was only piped, I gained a solid 2 lengths in about 400' with the timing advance key. Hope the patch works well for you. Check with Mike (warrior007) at www.ripperracing.com for your 1-way.....if you need it. Those L and A's work great. Their customer service cannot be beat either.

well the o-ring broke today it only lasted about 30-40 starts, I havent opened it back up yet but it just free spins now so I'm sure that what it is. Oh well, the good new is I got the jets dialed in before it happened wound up running on the 5th clip 25 pilots and 2 turns out on the a/f screews, and dropped it down to 155/160, it might still be a bit lean but didnt get to ride for very long so not sure yet.
