thanx... what do all of u think which is and overall better quad for the price?

 

for the money you cant beat a 400ex if you have the money go ahead and get the z400. i mean i know most guys dont worry about it but i think reverse is one heck of a feature

 

Z400....reverse...liquid cool....just as fast if not faster than the 400ex....good reliability....about the same price.... the choice is yours...

 

same price? i bought my 2001 honda 400ex in excellent condition where can you find a z400 in excellent condition for that??????????

True but you get what you pay for. BTW good choice yz you wont be dissapointed trust me.

 

oh yeah i mean you do get what you pay for. a great quad with many features plus i like the looks of my dads z400 better then my 400ex. you would go good either way beleive me we own both but yeah if my dad would have gave me some more money i would be riding a kfx or a z400. oh yeah yz if you run up on a kfx400 or artic cat dvx400 there the same thing the artic cat has some different plastics but the z and kfx are exactly alike except colors and i mean literally alike!!!

 

I read that the 05 arctic cat did not get the 05 Z400 upgrades, not sure about the 05 kawasaki. The 04's and below are the same except for cosmetic differences.

 

yeah you have a point i dont think the artic cats did get the upgrades. im also not for sure about the kawis. but any 03-04 kawisukicat will be the same

 

Same price? The z400's sell new around here for 4600-4800, the 400ex sells for about 4500-4800, i'd say thats about the same price. As far as used, you can pick up 03' Z's for 3500ish if you're careful, again, about the same price a used 400ex would sell for in great shape.
