Works Triple Rate W/Rezzy Questions!
#1
Hey everybody, I know alot of you guys have works shocks. I called Hy-Tech-Atv and asked about works triple rate w/cans. The guy said that they recommended Works Duals instead of Triples because they shocks are so long, that when you sit on it, it bottoms out the top spring, and the other 2 are way to easy. I am gonna get triples, or duals.. And i really don't know which. And if anyone has gotten a price better than 385 for duals, let me know! And also, where should i mount the resivoir?? Thanks,

everybody who I know with a banshee has triples
they have triples with their r's only my one friend has duals on his lt and they are hard as a rock. I get pretty psycho air with my banshee and only bottomed out once. I got 4 stitches to my face. I just learned to judge my jumps better.(long story)

Tell ya what. If you call up Works and ask them what they recommend they will tell you to get the duals for MX. That's what I did and the engineer said duals, because on the track the third rate is so soft you don't even notice it, you just run right through it. So save a few bucks and go with the duals. Just my opinion however.

I had tripple rates on mine. I ordered the top 68 pound spring from TCS. I took off my two litle springs, slapped on the 68 pounder from TCS and drop my ride height. I have had no problems with bottoming, and it lowered it to the point that the A-arms sit almost flat. I can fly around corners and the thing just squats. Next up I am going to call TCS and order the 2 rear sag control springs.

Where are you going to be ridding? I cant tell you what shocks to buy. Everyone has their own opinions. I really like my fronts right now. The sag control trick really worked well. If I had the bucks, and was still sitting on stock shocks, I would give Allen at CT or Shawn at K&K a call and order a set of TCS SCS fronts and rears. Unfortunatly for me all this great stuff came out after I bought Works front & rears. I heard people say that the spring swap really works well, so I gave it a shot. It does work. I dont know about the rear, but I will soon enuff. I just cant see paying the extra bucks and waiting for the upgrade by TCS if the secret is in the springs. NO, the valving is not the same, but it seems to work fine as is. If I was you, I would check E-BAY or the classifieds in this great web page and see if there are some good used works for sale. Maybe you will get lucky and save some money on shocks, and get to spend it elsewhere.
