'04 Grizzly Mods

Has anyone tried installing a Raptor cam in a Grizzly? I have already installed an HMF pipe and Twin Air filter and rejetted, but I want more. I know the Raptor redlines at 2000 rpm higher than the Grizz, but I also know the Raptor has a lot harder bottom end hit than the Grizz. I am hoping the cam will give the Grizz some bottom end also. I am also looking at the Procom rev box. Has anyone tried one?
If anyone has tried these mods, please give me any important information I might need, i.e. jetting.
Thanks.

I have priced out what it would take to do this conversion my self and found that Hot cams and Web cams were cheaper than going with the stock rappy cam. Hot cams claim that you will get about 10% horsepower across the board with the biggest gain in the mid-range. The aftermarket cams are better than the stock rappy ones and are less so why not get more bang for your buck.

hey i order that procom cdi box and when i installed it the revs were faster, but for me something was wrong with it. When i put it in 4wd lock the light wld stay blinking and not engage..so i put the stock one back in it was fine... not to say it would happen to yours but just check and make sure everything is working after you install it.. procom is sending me a new one they had never heard of that happening..will you upgrade your clutch if so what would you recommend...

I spoke with Glenn Erlandson at EPI on Thursday about clutching in the Grizzlies. The engineering department there recommends there stock clutch, stock tire kit for stock machines up to +8 hp machines running stock size tires. Their roller weights are 1 gram heavier than stock (12 vs. 11). If you are adding more power than this, you can order custom weights in 2 gram incriments up to 20 grams. I would definately recommend calling EPI prior to ordering and getting Glenn's advise.
