Raptor power

What I looking forward to most about the new raptor is having a quad with tons of power and a four stroke. It will be so nice to just pull up to the gas station and fill up instead of having to worry about bringing premix with you. So if the raptor smokes the banshee or not, I'm sure that it will still have more power than a wussy 400ex, not to mention reverse. I used to have a 99 banshee, that I traded in on a new raptor, and it sure will be nice not to have to worry about bringing oil to mix gas when you run out.
p.s. I don't understand why everyone likes the white and black so much. Yamaha blue looks cool and the blue doesn't show scratches and dirt as much as white and or black. I'll take a blue one please.
p.s.s How do you know if your getting the first one in your state? How could you possibly know that? I see people saying that all the time, I know that I'm getting the first one at my local dealership, but how would anyone know they were getting the first one in their state?

I too am confused about why so many people want the black and white color. The blue is Yamaha's team color. I don't understand why anyone would want a black and white version of Yamaha's greatest sport quad ever. I'll be proud to show off Yamaha's team blue color in my new quad. I will soon to own a team blue 2001 Raptor -- Arriving 1st week of September according to my dealer (I was the first to place my deposit for a Raptor at my dealer so I'm supposed to receive the first one that arrives).

I like the color scheme of the white & black Raptor. I can appreciate the reason of wanting Yamaha blue. I could care less what color Yamaha's race team is. I think the white & black just looks awesome. I might get to ride 4 times a year. On may current warrior, I ride, come home, power wash it, do the maintenance thing (oil change, wash the filter, grease it, scrub & oil the chain etc) and leave it sit for a couple months & go again. Given that, I really don't worry too much about the mud. I know my maintenance is definitely overkill, but when you ride only 4-5 times a year (if I'm lucky) I don't want to worry if the thing is maintenanced which gives me the ability to ride at the drop of a hat. I always top off the tank and keep a special tool box ready just to go ride. In fact, I have a spare front & rear tire, full swingarm, and a set of tie rods & ends if I wreck it. Like I said, I only go a few times a year and I WILL RIDE. After I get my raptor, I'll just take the warrior along just in case.
