Any suggestions for a MX qaud?
Hello
I just raced at a MX track with my 2004 blaster for my first time, the bad thing was they had only 1 quad class mostly of TRX450Rs and YFZ450s and a couple 250Rs. But out of 28 quads i mangaged to get about 14th place surprisingly. And I was talking to a guy who was racing for a long time, and he said that if i had a bigger qaud I might could have beaten alot more riders and he also said i could invest in alot more money in the blaster to make it faster and better but he said it would make more since to buy a bigger quad. So I was wondering what would you think would be a good MX qaud for me im about 125 pounds 5'8". And I like how light the blaster is. So is there anything that is comparable to the weight factor of the blaster??
Thankyou for taking your time to read this plz help me out

hey im also 5 8 and 125 and i love the way the yfz feels. it corners awesome, floats straight in the air, and hits hard. These attributes makes it one of the best motocrossers. Also at 350 pounds it is super lightweight for a 4 stroke. raptaor at 400, pred at 415+, z400 at 375, etcetc. It does take some time to get used to the stiff suspension, hard motoX style flat seat and stiff throttle but after a couple hours on it you'll feel right at home. plus the suspenion is fully adjustable and the 05's are suposed to have softer seats and a stiff throttle is the price to pay for a performance carb. The blaster just isnt meant to motocross and if thats your thing i 100% suggest the YFZ.

Well everyone thinks the YZf450r is better but i have a 04 limitied edition banshee and I enjoy it alot. My dad has just recently purchaced a 450r and i rode for a while i noticied many ways the banshee is better. The 450r has a high center of gravity and is not as stable and my shee. also the engine is sitting further back toward the raer axle than my shee and therefore when coming out of a turn hard a the MX track the front end tends to come up with you. In-turn you must slow down and get the front down to be strait with the jump or you could have a really bad problem. The 450r also is tough to crank and seems to cut off way to easy. Someone said the 05 seat is softer lol they are wrong my banshee is much more comfortable than the 450r. last but not laest my stock banshee can outrun it out of the whole and when i hit that 6th gear while the 450r is still in 5th 110 mph is top speed stock for my shee and i love it most of all and its great on the track im actually going today as a matter of fact. Also you mentioned your weight im 5'9 141 pounds if this may help.
