I have had zero problems with my raptor. I have never heard of a problem with suspension or brakes either.

Tranny in the 01 models, starters rarely in others. Just keep it well maintained and you'll have to spend no extra dollars on repairs.

Getting your intake valves adjusted after a year is a good idea also (for those who rarely dig into the engine)

Buy it with the knowledge you will be repairing the tranny. If its still a deal and you can deal with the hassle of rebuilding the tranny, then go for it. The one way bearing is a fairly prevalent problem, every raptor owner I know in the area has an L&A one way in theirs. It only about $260 though.
