I HAVE 98 WARRIOR THAT DOES NOT WANT TO START EASILY. CRANKS AND CRANKS THEN FINALY SHE WILL FIRE. IT APPEARS TO POP START EASY. (W/N A COUPLE OF FEET WHEN BEING TOWED). COULD IT BE A SHORTED OUT NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH, THE ONE ON THE CLUTCH HANDLE. NEUTRAL LIGHT DON'T WORK. MUST START WITH CLUTCH IN EVEN WHEN IN NEUTRAL.

 

Your using the choke correct? Does it do this even after it's warmed up?

 

yes... and yes *no choke when already warm*g

 

hmmm do you have any mods on it ?

 

it's not mine, i'm just doing work for a guy.... as far as i know there is nothing aftermarket other than, a rebuilt starter, new solenoid, new everything for starting as everything was shot... so i think i hvae figured out, that the neutral safety switch is not allowing it to start. i unplugged it from down under the motor, and up by the clutch... it fires right up now.

 

does that make sense to anyone

 

the true test will be when it cools and try it.
