Default DVX vs. YFZ 450

Hello I am wanting to purchase a new qaud for MX. And i am considering a DVX will it keep up with a 450 on a mx track. I was reading some other threads saying the 400s dont stand a chance against a 450 on a track is that true?
Thanks

Not a chance in hell with equally skilled riders of the same weight.

yeap thats what i thought, what do you think would be better for me. I race MX but not to seriously so far. I was thinking the DVX cause my friend has one and I really like it and I feel really comfortable on it. I was leaning more towards the DVX because I can get a brand new one for about 5500 at most. The YFZ 450 is around 7000. But I was thinking if im getting more serious about racing I can invest money into the DVX.

if you're going to be racing serious mx it doesnt really matter which bike you start with. Once they are all modded they are fairly equal and it comes down to the rider.

Well you make your own choice but the YFZ was made for mx. My yfz was $6400 OTD in January. My buddy got his red n white one for $6000 brand new OTD somewhere in Louisville.

You will have to put way more in the DVX to keep up with YFZ on the tracks. DVX engine is same as LTZ400.
