I just got the GYTR installed with a uni filter and jetted from 142.5 to 145. Im less than 2k elevation. Anyways 2 things, maybe its just me but it seems im losing my torque? at high rpms. With my stock setup it seemed it had more ooomph at high rpms, secondly when I get it up in rpms then suddenly let off it starts backfiring. Not real loud or anything its actually more of a popping. I checked the plug and what I got is tan color with a tad bit of soot (carbon)? on the first thread and then clean everywhere else. Anyways ive heard this is normal, but am curious none the less.

 

try giving the air mixture screws half a turn, maybe that will help

 

Where would I find these air screws on my carb. Im still new at this.

 

Inside the carb...mmm...kinda hard to explain, just do a search here and you will find lots of info.

Well I went with a bigger jet so ill see how that works.
