thanks for the reply..so do you run with the choke on always?

Try a different clip on the needles, and possibly bigger main jets.

just take the space out inbetween blue and traxx it would not let me post unless i did that said it was forbidden word but check this out for help with jetting issues

I live in MN too, and if its possible, dont use ethinol blended gas unless you have no choice. It runs about 10 % leaner than pure gas. If you do use it, turn off the gas and drain the float bowl dry after each use. There seems to be issues with deposits, in the carb, if the ethenol blended gas is in there and evaporates out.
Heres another article on jeting, along with symptoms of lean and rich.
jetting
There are 4 circuits in the carb, any can be lean or rich on its own. Thats why you can have black plugs and still have symptms of lean. You have a starter jet( which is probably ok as is), Pilot jet( which is probably too small), needle jet and jet needle(may need adjusting), and main jet, which is probably too lean.

Thank you all for the great advise!! I finally got it sorted out, and the beast runs perfect...Turns out the jet kit was installed wrong by the original owner....what can ya do?.....thanx again!!!----Lewis

Never use dynojet! I have it too, and the same thing is going on, im going back to stock jets.
