Default Quick air filter cleaning question

Just cleaned my air filter for the second time on my banshee. While rinsing it out with water i was lightly ringing it out and noticed a gel coming out of the filter(dirty white color like a lotion) and i was just curious is this normal or did I do something wrong the first time I cleaned it or is this not a problem at all...

The first time I cleaned it I washed then put some motor oil on the filter(as my manual directed) and this may be cause but not sure.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Default Quick air filter cleaning question

That gel is what you are trying to clean out of the foam filter. It is the partially dissolved filter oil with the dirt it trapped, that did not completely break down from the cleaner or detergent you used. When you see it, just do the whole cleaning process again. Spray with cleaner let it sit and rinse.. Give it some time. When you rinse it withwater and you dont see that stuff and your hands don't feel oily then the filter is clean.
