Grizzly 660 mods
Hi, my friend is wanting a little more power out of his Grizzly. I was thinking that since the top end of the Grizz is almost the same as the raptor that the same mods would work. I was thinking: high compression piston, something around 11:1, exhaust either full or slip on, K&n air filter, rejet the carb and maybe a more agressive cam. With doing this would he also need to put a different spring in the auto tranny? I don't know alot about cvt's so any help would be appreciated. He also plans on running 25 or 26 inch tires.
I know that on raptors that by opening up the intake and exhaust that you can get a pretty decent gain in power, something like 8 horsepower and I have also heard that they respond really well to higher compression, I was just wondering if this is the same on the Grizzly. If so, I will ask to ride it and just leave and never come back . Anyways, thanks for any input you have.

The piston and cam really wake this thing up I would definately go for it. As for the larger tires I would go with and EPI clutch kit. I would also phone EPI if you are going to do the engine mods as they suggest going with different clutch weights depending on power outputs. Or if adding the larger tires get the oversize tire clutch kit. The exhaust that I have helped out greatly.
