Blaster maintenance!
The biggest thing IMO is making sure you don't run low on oil. (this is just what i do) I regularly change my engine oil every month, clean my brakes (I have front drum brakes) when they need it and greese my fittings. I only run premium gas in it, and give it a good detailed cleaning every month, and lube my chain when nesessary. I also clean my air filter every week because it is really dusty where i ride. hmm...i think that is the major stuff i do to keep my blaster running really good. Make sure to check the oil level every time you think about it because you never know when you have a leak and you don't want to run that dry. I have yet to have any problems with my blaster *knocks on wood*. I hope this helps. If you have any questions later on, or now, you can email me at Erickson483@hotmail.com !!!RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!

Im don't know if there is a way to tell if the injector fails, but some people don 't have enough/any oil to be injected so the piston seizes up. You really don't want that. I wouldn't worry about it though, if you keep it above the recommended minimum line, you will be just fine.

hrmm...i got a 98 blaster with the 240cc big bore kit, everything else stock. except it has the conversion kit to get it off the factory oil mix system. I just mix my own. thing prolly cruises top speed around 45 tops. maybe it goes faster or slower but that would be my rough guess. Its definitely not a blazin fast machine in any case. I have fun on it though.
*S* its really my wifes, but my banshee is kinda in pieces ATM
