Well, they did a shootout between the the ozark and the recon. The ozark won so I would go with that. I used to have one and it was great. Just traded it for a sport machine.

i wouldnt go for a 250 at all man. i was reading about the 250ex and it is made for people under 5'6" and the 250ex and recon are very similar. ive sat on a 300ex and im about 5'9 or 5'10 and that felt very comfortable. i would go for the warrior you were talking about. you could get a used 300ex for how much money your willing to spend also. just my 2 cents but i dont recommend getting a 250 anything. my friend has a bear tracker and hes 13, only weighs like 120 and hes 5'6 and he says the bear tracker cant get him everywhere he wants it to. so you being tall, i would suggest a bigger machine.

the height issue hasn't been addressed enough. i was in your position a couple years back. i'm 6'2 and weigh about the same as you, I even had a bayou and it didn't do too well. I dwarfed it, as another guy said the brakes were the first thing to go, then the shocks. If you don't do much serious riding and want it just for something to plow snow and putt around on, it would suffice. You mentioned the artic cat 250, personally I wouldn't feel comfortable riding it because of how far the engine sets in the rear. Looks like the front end would be really light. Personally I would borrow a little more money and get something a little bigger. Good luck
