Default Carburetor

Today while at the track, my carb sucked dust/dirt. After getting it back from the shop yesterday for jetting, I forgot to put the lid on, so today for about the first 15 min it ran flawless, and then started missing/sputtering. So I take the seat off, and the filter has fell off the mount since it had no lid. So my question is, should I just take the carb apart and clean it normally, or is there something else to do to get all of that out. Thanks in advance

A couple of oil changes probably wouldn't be a bad idea either. If any of the dirt made it past you jets, that could cause serious problems. I know they have internal cleaners for car engines, you may want to see if your dealer has anything for your machine.
