I'll make this short. I bought a 2003 Raptor 660 from Hattiesburg Cycles which is about 2 hours away from my home. This is not a small hole in the wall, so I don't understand why they did this. But, I bought the extended warranty and had the bike for almost a year. When riding going forward on any gear at any speed, the reverse light would flicker on and try to throw you over the handlebars. I brought it in and they looked at it and said it was fixed. No parts used, only labor. They charged me $85. I told them that I had the ext. warranty and that I wasn't going to pay it and they told me I couldn't have the bike. I paid it and went home. Rode it for 5 minutes and it did it again!! Ended up finding the pinched and frayed wire myself where they didn't put it where it wouldn't rub when they put the bike together and fixed it myself and they had my money. Called them and told them what was going on and wanted the money back for the fix that they didn't even do under the warranty. They said ok, they'll work something out, come up there. I told them it would take a week or two because I lived so far away, but ok. Drove 2 hours there for them to say I was lying, they didn't say they would give me the money. Never got pissed, turned around and went to the guy I bought the bike from, and cancelled the warranty. Got $380 back instead of the little $85 they wouldn't give me. Now I have a Hotcam Stage 2 that I can put in now that I don't have the warranty and I have their warranty money.
Moral of this story: Exteneded warranties are B.S!!!!

I only can say that you should NEVER buy the warranty. Just get the thick book that shows how to completely rebuild your year of quad and completely master it. Nothing on them is complicated until you get inside the engine. Even the top end of the engine is fairly simple to rebuild. If anything severe happens it will more than likely happen not that long after the purchase. Those warranties are one big scam!!! Be sure to grease every last bearing in the wheels, ect. since they always leave them with almost no grease on them. My friend just picked up a new z not too long ago, and they did just that. I think that old saying is true 'if you want it done right, you got to do it yourself'

I have to agree with the group waste of money !
Heres a tip for anyone who need to get warranty work done .
1 Make sure you go to the largest shop you can find
2 Never admit to anything being done to your quad or what ever it is other than what there manual says.
3 If the try to hassle you stand in the middle of the show room and get loud! ! I mean increase your voice at every verb! let the other customer know how your being delt with . they will try and rush you into a cubical or side room stand your ground !
Be diplomatic and dont curse . just get loud ! USE terms like . I'm just a blue collar man dont do this to me . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Or try this .
IS IT BECAUSE I'M (insert race here ) .
They are highly trained to keep you from warranty work . USE your head play there game .
Last resort go into the fetal postion and pizzzz your pants
