Well there are 2 2005 raptors in the garage. one bone stock and then mine with the gearing and tires. and the guy who has the other one was like dam i have to have that stuff its not even the same bike, But then agin he is a rooky rider and its way easier to make hills and pull outta the corners Its strictly a trail/track gearing. if your ride wide open fast stuff and your in 5th gear all the time its not something you would prolly like. on the other hand if you rarely make it to fifth then its a god sent.

as far as the gear ratio goes its the same now with the heavy 22" tires who knows its all speculation at that point I like how it handles and performs in the woods thus the other stuff is irrelivant. its important to set your bike up for How "YOU" ride it. Like i said before I hate the shift between 1st n second so i just dont use first unless i have to go real slow like following a Ute quad or sompin. I really didnt like the power with 22's and stock gears. i didnt like it with 12/40 and 22's either and a 44 tooth rear was the next one i could get my hands on with short notice and I love the set up. I have no problem with anything in the woods. Loggin roads? they suck it dont go fast enough. needs to do about a hundred for the roads to be fun.

I had stock tires on the rear of my raptor and I got a rev-limiter bypass for reverse but reverse was still too high so i got a 42 rear sprocket and it was perfect with alot more power though i had to shim my rear skid a little. Then i put holeshots (taller than stock) on the rear and i think it is still going to be ok but my uphill drag times are going to suffer though the extra ground clearance is wonderfull, a major improvement, my stock tires are now my spares.

I was thinking i would like to run a stock or smaller sprocket on the rear but keep the same ratio as i have now by decreasing the size of the front one too. Any ideas?

Thanks
