This morning, Saturday, I got out the yellow pages and called all the major motorcycles dealers that sell Yamaha and asked when they will be getting their first shipment in. The first one I called said within 2 weeks, the second one said they are expectiong theres any day, Third one said sometime from now to October, and the fourth said next week they are getting there first one for SURE. I hope my comes out real soon, like this week. I also asked what they are hearing is the claimed Horsepower and one said 48-50 and the others had no clue. So do these people know for sure or are they just telling people these things?

 

CHRIS660R-I see you're from St. Louis. Did you talk to Chesterfield Valley Powersports? I spoke to one of the sales reps. last Saturday and he said that they should be getting thier shipment in either the last week of August or the first week of September. I was wondering if they are still saying the same thing. I've got a blue one on order.

 

A friend of mine owns Capital City Yamaha and believes that his first shipment of Raptors will be in in middle to late Sept. As far as horsepower goes????? His dealer rep out of Oklahoma doesn't know "come here from sickem" about the raptor ( or anything else for that matter) other than it's supposed to be fast.

 

I live in clinton missouri and my local dealer said they should be getting their first shipment probably first of september.

I was reading through the alt.atv newsgroup and ran across a Michigan Yamaha dealer.

He says that his Raptor was invoiced to him last Thursday and that he expects it either today or Wednesday.

He also says that according to the Yamaha Computer System, there have been Raptors in the Chicago warehouse for a few weeks, so the speculation is that Yamaha plans for all of the dealers to get their first one at the same time. Hopefully this week!
