hi, i have a 2002 blaster with a 240 kit and many modifications done by davis. My friend has a 1992 kx80 with fmf pipe and silencer and jetted. my other friend has a brand new 2005 Z400. I was just wondering what you guys think would win in an all drag race up the road, we will easily hit top speed. Also we are all about equal riding abilities and about the same weight. thanx a lot for any input.

 

run them and see i would go with the Z for the win, ik that its got higher top speed but accel. idk just race them and ull find out

we have a couple lt80's, it smokes my yfz all the time. I would say the kx80 would definately win.

 

what has the world come to when an lt80 beats a yfz470............

The kx80 will and should win everytime. I just rode a friends prarie 700 for the first time. I've heard so much about the praries and how fast they are,,,,well,,,I was a bit disappointed. I'm used to riding motocross and i'll be the first to tell you that there is no comparison between dirtbikes and quads. The bikes will eat them alive and they should. Just to prove the point to my buddy who owns the prarie, I degraded myself into actually drag racing him on my nephews 1999 Husky CR125 and I repeatedly beat him everytime during 200 yard drags. Soundly. I'm sure if we had longer distances, its possible that he might have reeled me in eventually, but I doubt it. I weigh 230 lbs also, so a 125 isnt best suited for me.

 

actually i was makin fun of him cuz theres no way an lt80 which is a kiddie quad can beat a yfz470. i think he meant a suzuki 80 dirtbike which would be a rm 80


i have to say im more of a bike fan than a quad for that reason though =)
