Default "Gunk" in airbox on Raptor....

I was cleaning the filter on my Raptor today, and when I pulled off the airbox lid, found some muddy type gunk in the airbox. The quad is running in tip-top shape, so the only thing I could figure is when I stand the quad up, excess gas is running from the carb, down into the filter and airbox, mixing with the dirt in the filter.

If this is true, then I won't be concerned, but if its something different, please school me on whats happenin' so I can correct it. Thanx for your opinions, I always trust the knowledge of the riders who frequent this forum....

I just took the whole air box out and found the same gunk in the carb boots but I have to admit that I haven't cleaned those in a year...but it is pretty normal especially with the foam oil along with air born dust and a liitle fuel vapor....just keep up on it and you'll be fine..I clean my filter after every ride.

Also, you should run the gas out of the carbs before standing the Quad on the grab bar.
This will cut down on the gas entering your airbox.....
