370 Banshee

Its not a good idea at all. Next time you have to rebuild your top end youll have to get a new sleeve and get it re ported. Not to mention you wont gain enough to notice, you could take a **** before a race and gain more advantage. The reason people have 370s is because that used to be the only way to use a long rod (had to use blaster pistons, and thats their minium size).

Boring it .040 over will do nothing for your performance, seriously. If you want a true 370 setup. Get a pair of +5mm rods, and some Wiseco 795 pistons. Those pistons are the same as the stockers except the rod attaches higher up in the piston so no borework, headwork or spacing is required. You'll have to have your crank rebuilt with the rods, but it's cheaper than buying a long rod crank, and you'll have to have some port work done as well, but it'll be worth it.
Either do that, or buy Vitos 404 kit and have it installed, you'll still have to have some portwork done to flow properly, but there's no "free" horsepower gains out there.
