Banshee Max bore

Default Banshee Max bore

My brother in-law burned a piston up in his banshee and i need to know how far you can bore a stock cylinder? Thanks

.080 over, some go .100 over but I've heard of heating issues with that big of a bore.

i think they have a 503 kit for the banshee but uses after market cylinders

You can hit 585 with aftermarket cylinders, but I do think that 80 over is the most you would want to go on a stock jug.

Also, .100 = 66.5 mm bore.

My brother in-law that owns the quad let a friend of his take it to silver lake and the idiot mixed the Gas/Oil at 50:1.


He road for about 2 hrs before it start popping through the exhaust and running real bad. It melted the ring land on the exhaust side of the piston.

I mix mine at 50:1 but I use amsoil. What kind of oil premix is being run in the banshee?

I was going to ask the same thing. Also, mixing gas/oil at 50:1 would have made the banshee run richer.

what was the difference in elevation between the normal riding area and where the friend took it? Like roosthrower said, running a leaner "premix" ratio actually richens the "air/fuel" ratio.
