does a KnN air filter make a difference
#4
You won't feel a power difference(slightly, but you can't really feel it)......but you buy them because they are better than stock(paper) filters, and are easy to use and clean. It is more for the convience than the power......If you ride in water, I have heard that Uni-filters are better than K&N, but for sand/dirt, I think KandN is better. If you do get a K&N, get the filter kit too, it comes with a bottle of cleaner and a can of filter oil. You may or may not have to rejet, that is up to how borderline your jetting is already.....you kinda have to make the mod, and see by looking at how it sounds/feels, and your spark plug test.

I doubt you will feel much gain if any, add a slip-on pipe with the filter, rejet and you'll have a decent gain.
The K&N filter with itself I finds just more convenience, cleanable, and more air.
