Yea, the wolverine doesn't have a front locker. Don't get me wrong I like the wolverine I think they are a very good machine, lots of fun. They just wouldn't be the best for mudding. I have a friend who rides one and loves it but there are lots of times when she can't quite pull out of mud holes and you see one front tire spinning. The second tir has lots of traction and would get her out but you can't lock the front diff.

If you can trake a trip to buy an ATV, check out Lakehill Motors in Corinth, MS, I bought a Kodiak 400 there a year and a half ago and got the lowest price anywhere near me. They are one of the lowest priced dealers for Honda's and Yamaha's around. Kodiak's are great machines. If I had to do it over again I would try to come up with the extra cash for the 450; however, the 400 has done me very well. Good luck!

Polaris's aren't bad anymore, they are very reliable........the sportsman line is great, they win a lot of the mud boggs.......You might also consider, as scrambler123 said, the explorer or possibly a scrambler.......the 400 motors from Polaris a very nice, if you have 4x4 and one of those motors.....you won't get stuck too easily......

I think a xplorer 400 with a hpd powerMAXX kit and some big tires could outperform just about any quad out there in the mud, but this is a bike that is often overlooked.
