Raptor Modifications?
#11
Has anyone NOT put in a new aftermarket rod for all of the modifications? Right now im basically just ready to turn over the motor and get it all done, but i want to take every step to take care of the reliability. Im not going to put 2k into it but ill certainly spend a good amount to get it totally movin, but i want that reliability there!

Well for the mods im doing its probably best to go ahead and change it anyways, i dont mind spending the extra for reliability. Which exact one would you go with, and what do they run?

Dont even worry about it, i have a 686 that i took to Alba. They pretty much did an awesome job. Havent had any problems. i would say go somewhere where they gurantee their work. I know most places wont offcially say that but i think if you talk to one of the supervisors in charge of shop ask them and let them know if you have any problems that youll bring it back. he or she should say yeah. I personally did that when i took it to alba. i clearly told the guy in charge of setting my raptor up that i only demand top notch work and labor on my bike. he then replied by saying yeah. no problem, you have any problems we'll fix it. If you need to hook you up with albas num. and maybe i could ask him to hook you up with the same 10% discount off parts. Hit me up if you need anything.
